CME on “ECG- What, When & Why” was conducted on 09th June 2023 at 3rd floor Hippocrates Auditorium medical college premises between 9am -12.30 pm. The Programme was organized by organizing chairman Dr.A.Saravanan, Prof& HOD, Vice-chairman Dr.K.Thamarai Selvi, Organizing secretary Dr.K.Prabhavathi, Joint Organizing secretary Dr.Bhavsar Nikhil Rajendra. The Programme started with an invocation prayer song and welcome address was given by Dr.A.Saravanan ,Professor & Head of Physiology, SRM MCH & RC in the august presence of Pro-Vice Chancellor , Dean, Associate Dean (UG), and Guest speaker Dr.P.Santhoshkumar MD, DM, Consultant Cardiologist , Frontier Life line Hospital, Mogappair Chennai. Lt Col (Dr.) Pro-VC (Medical), SRM MCH & RC. A.Ravikumar gave the Inaugural address and Associate Dean (UG) Dr.Leela Professor HOD gave the felicitation. The guest speaker was greeted by a mementos, gift & certificate of appreciation by our Pro-Vice Chancellor.

The guest lecture started, with the introduction of the guest speaker by Dr.P.KalyaniPraba, Associate Professor of Physiology. The topic of guest lecture was “Role of ECG in Emergency Medical Care”. The speech delivered was excellent and explored the abnormal ECG which went on as an interesting interactive session among students.

A total of 392 participants attended the CME Programme. This included teaching faculties, postgraduate students, MBBS students and Allied Health & Science students who were highly benefitted. E-certificate was issued to all the participants after obtaining the feedback. The Programme ended at 12.30 pm with a national anthem.
