Bridge course for CRRIS: 2020 - Hands-on training
- The Bridge Course for Compulsory Rotatory Resident Interns (CRRIs) of the 2015 Batch of MBBS was conducted this year to give ‘Hands-on Training’ in clinical case scenarios.
- The training helps the CRRIs to learn the important life-saving skills of Cardio–Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) correctly.
- The Bridge Course, apart from the AHA- BLS and ACLS courses includes simulation-based learning on important Critical Care skills like Basic Airway Management, Oxygen Therapy, Mechanical Ventilation, Haemodynamic monitoring, Basic ECG, and Basic Trauma management.
Covid- 19 simulation-based skill module
- The objective of the program was to train CRRIs in management of COVID-19 or a similar epidemic outbreak and develop skills for the same.
- Included training for intubation on Airway trainers, Naso-pharyngeal swab sample collection on ALS manikin and mock-drills on SIMMAN pertaining to SOPs on COVID-19: Triage, Fever clinic, Isolation ward and ICU. The revised AHA guidelines for BLS, ACLS and Airway management with respect to COVID-19.
