About Anesthesiology

The Department of Anesthesia was started in the year 2004, which specializes in providing anesthesiology and pain services to all elective and emergency cases operated in SRM Hospital.

The Department takes pride of having latest anesthesia work stations, Multipara monitors and airway gadgets like fiber optic bronchoscope and video laryngoscope. The Department also has Ultrasound which is extensively used for performing various blocks for acute and chronic pain management. We also have a state of the art post anesthesia care unit where we manage patients who need intensive monitoring and care after surgery.

Department specializes in providing anesthesia for high risk and complicated procedures like bariatric surgery, laparoscopic thyroidectomy, and complex craniotomies for tumer removal.
