About Ophthalmology

The Department of Ophthalmology was started in the year 2005 The eye is called the window to the soul. But people rarely admit to deficiencies in their eyesight until it's too late. The Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences at SRM Medical College Hospital & Research Centre is spearheaded by an able team of faculty. We are committed to the protection and preservation of the treasured gift of sight. Our full-time faculty, comprising of reputed Ophthalmologists, are skilled in every ophthalmic subspecialty and certified with sub-specialty fellowship training. This unique department offers students, the clinical acumen to diagnose and the surgical dexterity to treat the eye of its various maladies. In addition to providing excellent eye care to patients at our department , our faculty members also conduct innovative biomedical research and present progressive, industry-leading academic programs to ophthalmologists and other physicians in the community and worldwide.
