The Department of Cardio – Thoracic Surgery came into existence with the appointment of Dr. K. Harshavardhan, as Prof and Head of the department on the 15th of September 2008. One seat has been sanctioned by medical council of India for specialization in Cardiothoraic (M.Ch in CTVS).
