The Department of Audiology and Speech, SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, together with SRM School of Public Health, organised a focused orientation session on the University Wellness Program (UWP) for newly admitted students. The session was conducted by Dr. Sathya T, UWP Coordinator, and Dr. Bala Ganesh P, Program Associate of SRM, to introduce students to the wide range of wellness initiatives offered by the university.
During the orientation, students were familiarised with various UWP activities, including yoga, dance, music, martial arts, and Zumba—all designed to support holistic student development. The speakers also emphasised the importance of physical, mental, and social well-being, encouraging active participation in these programs.
In addition to activity overviews, the session provided practical information on how students can access the University Wellness Centre and utilise counselling services. Essential contact details and activity schedules were shared to ensure students can engage effectively with the program from the beginning of their academic journey.
The orientation session reflects SRM’s ongoing commitment to fostering a healthy and supportive campus environment through structured wellness initiatives.
