The Department of Community Medicine, SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, organised a comprehensive medical camp sponsored by the Maraimalai Nagar Municipality on 25 October 2025 at St. Joseph Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Chengalpattu.

The event was honoured by the presence of Ms. Sneha, District Collector of Chengalpattu, and Ms. Varalakshmi, MLA, Chengalpattu.

A multidisciplinary team from various departments — Community Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, ENT, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Audiology, Dermatology, General Surgery, and Radiology — volunteered to provide consultations and screening services.

The camp saw an active turnout, benefiting 575 outpatients from the local community. Of these, 95 patients were identified for further evaluation and referred with yellow cards for free advanced treatment at SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre.

The initiative reflected SRM’s continued commitment to community health outreach and accessible medical care for all.
