The University Wellness Program (UWP) at SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), in collaboration with the Department of Renal Dialysis Technology and the Department of Clinical Psychology, conducted a Life Skill Training session for student wellbeing on 4th April 2026.

Designed specifically for BSc Renal Dialysis Technology students, the session focused on strengthening mental well-being, improving coping strategies, and building essential life skills that support both academic progress and personal growth.

The training was facilitated by Mr. Arun R and Mr. Abraham Philip Francis, Assistant Professors from the Department of Clinical Psychology. They led engaging and interactive sessions that covered core areas such as emotional regulation, communication skills, stress management, decision-making, and self-awareness. Through discussions and participatory activities, students were encouraged to reflect, interact, and apply these concepts in real-life situations.

The program was coordinated by Mr. Muthamizh M, Lecturer Grade I, Department of Renal Dialysis Technology, along with Dr. Sathya T, Coordinator of the University Wellness Program. Their efforts ensured the smooth organisation and effective delivery of the event.

The session was well-received by participants, who found the training both insightful and practical. By focusing on essential life skills and mental health awareness, the initiative highlights SRMIST’s continued commitment to nurturing well-rounded, resilient healthcare professionals.
