The Programme was held in the Hospital Seminar Hall Started with  Tamil Thai vazhthu.

Prof. Dr. C. Balasubramanian MS, M.Ch Professor & HOD Department of Plastic Surgery welcomed the gathering. He emphasized  about the importance of Plastic Surgery Day celebration and how it started as national Plastic Surgery dean & later he come as world Plastic Surgery day.

 Dr. A. Sundaram, MD [Dean, Medical] delivered the inaugural address he emphasized the need of Plastic Surgery and also about  the present  status of Plastic Surgery Department of SRM & he wished  the function every success.

Then Dr. Dr. R. Balamurugan M.S Felicitated  the function.  Prof. Dr. Lt.Col. A. Ravikumar who presided over the function & also delivered the presidential address. He talked about the importance of Plastic Surgery in various reconstructive procedures.

Dr. V.B. Narayanamurthy F.R.C.S [ Glasgow]  gave an excellent lecture about Diabetic foot- From Depreciation to Appreciation and Inspiration. He emphasized the need for proper foot care. Dr. R. Santharam DNB, M.Ch thanked the audience for attending the function. Programme concluded with National Anthem  -followed by Lunch.
