The Department of Orthopaedics, SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, organised a Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme on the Basics of Shoulder Arthroscopy and Rotator Cuff Repair on 6 December 2025.

The academic programme featured structured lectures covering shoulder anatomy, clinical evaluation, fundamentals of shoulder arthroscopy, and principles of rotator cuff repair. These sessions were delivered by experienced guest faculty and were aimed at strengthening both theoretical understanding and clinical decision-making.

In addition to the lectures, the CME placed strong emphasis on skill enhancement. Participants took part in a hands-on workshop focusing on arthroscopic knot techniques, along with a live demonstration of shoulder arthroscopy performed on a shoulder model, offering valuable practical exposure.

The programme was attended by 50 participants and was awarded 2 credit points by the Tamil Nadu Medical Council. The CME served as an effective platform for knowledge exchange and skill development in contemporary shoulder surgery practices.
