SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, Kattankulathur – A total of 141 medical interns from the 2019 MBBS batch successfully completed a rigorous 4-day CRMI Bridge Course held from March 19 to 22, 2025, at the SRM/Stratus Centre for Medical Simulation, located within SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre.
Organised as a vital preparatory step before the interns begin their clinical responsibilities, the CRMI (Compulsory Rotating Medical Internship) Bridge Course 2025 was designed to enhance core life-saving competencies. The program focused on hands-on training in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and real-time medical emergency simulations, all aimed at building clinical confidence and decision-making skills under pressure.
Conducted in collaboration with the Stratus Centre for Medical Simulation, the course placed a strong emphasis on practical experience using state-of-the-art simulation tools and patient-based scenarios. These training sessions ensured that every intern gained a realistic understanding of high-pressure medical situations and how to respond efficiently and effectively.
The initiative reflects SRM Medical College’s unwavering commitment to producing competent, confident, and compassionate healthcare professionals. As the interns now transformed into their clinical roles, this bridge course stands as a cornerstone in their journey toward delivering quality patient care.
