Prof. Dr. Melvin George, Head of the Centre for Clinical Pharmacology and Clinical Trials & Research, SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, has been conferred with the “MPS Most Promising Senior MD Pharmacologist Award” at MPSCON-2025, held at AIIMS Guwahati from May 7 to 9, 2025.

This distinguished recognition, presented by the Medical Pharmacologists Society (MPS), honours Dr. George’s exceptional contributions to the fields of clinical pharmacology, research innovation, and academic leadership. With a career marked by scientific excellence and impactful research, Dr. George has significantly advanced the discipline and inspired a new generation of pharmacologists.

The award was conferred during the valedictory session of MPSCON-2025, the annual national conference of MPS, which brought together leading experts, researchers, and clinicians to discuss the latest trends in medical pharmacology.
