The Department of Community Medicine, SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, organized a medical camp at Chettipuniyam on 24 October 2025, sponsored by SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST).

The camp aimed to extend accessible healthcare services to the local community, with active participation from multiple departments including Community Medicine, ENT, Ophthalmology, Optometry, Audiology, Dermatology, General Surgery, Psychiatry, and Orthopaedics.

A total of 104 outpatients were examined and treated during the camp. Among them, 34 individuals were referred for further evaluation and treatment at SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, with yellow cards issued for free follow-up care.

The initiative showcased SRM’s continued commitment to community welfare and preventive healthcare, promoting collaboration among departments to deliver comprehensive medical support to underserved populations.
