In a bid to enhance medical knowledge and promote interdisciplinary learning, the Department of Physiology, SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre organized a Continuing Medical Education (CME) program focused on the theme of “Demystifying Diabetic Myopathy on 3rd May 2024, at the New Lecture Hall 1 at the SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre.

The program witnessed the esteemed presence of several dignitaries, including
Dr. K. V. Leela, Associate Dean of UG Academics at SRMMCH&RC
Dr. M. Logaraj, Associate Dean of Quality Assurance at SRMMCH&RC
Dr. A. Saravanan, Head of the Department of Physiology at SRMMCH&RC
Dr. Nikil Bhavsar Rajendra, Assistant Professor of Physiology at SRMMCH&RC

In addition to them, Dr. Prashanth Arun, a Physician and Diabetologist from MV Hospital for Diabetes, Royapuram Chennai, graced the occasion with his expertise.

With an audience comprising approximately 250 MBBS (1st year) students and 30 delegates from various medical colleges, the CME program is a resounding success. Attendees were treated to a wealth of knowledge as they delved into the complexities of diabetic myopathy, gaining valuable insights from the distinguished speakers.

The program provided a platform for academic discourse offering practical demonstrations to enrich the learning experience. Following an engaging Q&A session, attendees had the opportunity to partake in a self-exercise demo conducted by a fitness coach, highlighting the importance of holistic approaches to healthcare.
