Phlebotomy
The Central Clinical Laboratory maintains a dedicated Phlebotomy Area on the Ground Floor of the hospital for specimen collection. Phlebotomy services are performed by an adequate number of qualified and trained DMLT and B.Sc. (Medical Laboratory Technology) personnel, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and patient safety.
Specimens are barcoded to facilitate accurate identification, traceability, and streamlined processing across all laboratory sections.
Samples are transported to the Central Clinical Laboratory through a Pneumatic Chute System, enabling prompt and secure specimen transfer while preserving sample integrity and supporting timely reporting.
