Quorum
Meeting is conducted depending upon the availability of committee members minimum 65 percentage of members should take part in the meeting. Less than 65 percentage meeting will be reorganized on later date.
Terms of Reference
Communication is sent individually to all committee members through the Chairperson or Co-ordinator of committee one day before the meeting.
Role of Committee
- To oversee, guide lines and ensure the following aspects of safety in the hospital are fulfilled. :
- Environment/facility safety -Slip
- Disaster Management.
- Medication safety
- Electrical safety
- Fire safety
- Storage of hazardous chemicals
- Assisting in development of organizational health and safety guidelines
- Evaluate employer’s safety/health policies and procedures.
- Consult workers on any proposed changes in the workplace in inside the hospital or any policies, practices or procedures that could affect the health, safety or welfare of workers.
- Conduct facility rounds in workplace on monthly basis
- Make written recommendation for corrective and preventive measures on hazards, and submit to the management for timely response.
- Conducting health and safety education programs for all employees on safety in coordination with HR Training and development team
- Review and do root cause analysis of all sentinel events which are related to safety.
