Quorum
Meeting is conducted depending upon the availability of committee members minimum 65 percentage of members should take part in the meeting. Less than 65 percentage meeting will be reorganized on later date.
Terms of Reference
Communication is sent individually to all committee members through the Chairperson or coordinator of committee one day before the meeting.
Role of Committee
- To develop a hospital antimicrobial policy.
- Conduct regular medical record audit
- Conduct morbidity and mortality audit
- Ensure that all staff complies with the policies.
- Staff & Patient anonymity confidentiality maintenance.
- The following cases are audited randomly:
- Long / short stay cases
- Specific disease / specific operations
- Vulnerable groups
- Increase incidence of a disease
- Post operative infection / complications
- To detect possible errors in diagnosis, treatment, judgment or technique.
- Make necessary suggestions & recommendations so that the error is not repeated.
- After the auditor or the audit committee has finished with the record.
